RECOMMENDED RADIO SETTINGS

I am using the telemetry mode to obtain a fixed RTK solution, but the maximum range achieved without loss of signal was only 1km. For activities with a range of 2-4km, without loss signal, is there any standard configuration to radio? or recommended configuration?

I currently use the radio RFD900 + on base and rover. Thanks!

The telemetry transmission distance may vary much according to your environments.

Perhaps you will consider introducing a telemetry extender.

Usually lower data rate is needed for longer distance data transmision. Try using 19200 baud rate to send the base data in RTCM format.

Use RTK Viewer to set base output baud rate to 19200 and in RTCM format.

Use below GNSS Viewer to set the corresponding base data receving UART baud rate of the rover to 19200.

As Bluetooth of Alpha works with fixed 115200 baud rate, if later changing back to use as RTK rover with Android phone, will need to changed the data receving UART baud rate of the rover from 19200 back to 115200 in order to work with the Bluetooth.
