it looks amazing! I hope that due to this development we can also have some alpha+ firmware updates in order to improve rover mode with VRS/RTK and Glonass too.

If I were to order it now, how long before I receive it? Cause i’m really in the need of a Rover, and if possible I would like to buy this now, and get it shipped asap! :slight_smile:

Similar RTK chip inside. No telemetry radio, only short range Bluetooth and WiFi.

Congratulations on the new price list of the shop, everything is now simpler and clearer. I confess that I lost days to understand what the usage plan was for and if it was necessary.
I guess now each kit includes a lifetime usage plan.

Okay, I’m new to all this RTK stuff.
It’s completely foreign to my optical based surveying experiences.

I’m hoping this thing is capable of reducing the time it takes to establish elevation data for parcel topographic mapping. I’ve looked into Lidar equiped Drones but they’re fairly expensive still.

My questions are these.

Will it provide accurate data for elevation mapping, just using it and an android device?

The sales info mentions external batteries, where can they be purchased?

Pole?

What else will be needed to use this for my expressed purposes above?

I apologize if my questions may be ignorant in nature but thank-you for any answers to my questions.

Any smartphone power bank can be used as the power source for S100.

S100 has 5/8" thread. Standard RTK pole should also have 5/8" thread. Can search for “RTK pole” on Amazon, eBay, AliExpress…

Yes. The vertical accuracy is 14 mm + 1ppm.

You need
two S100, or
one S100 and one Alpha+
to set up your own NTRIP communication, as shown in below picture.

Or you can use one S100 to receive third party RTK base data.

Jim, very informative and promising info. would the Gnss Surveyor on Play Store suffice in providing the aforementioned 3rd party NTRIP client using only the Anroid 4Glte cellular device bluetoothed to the S100 to gain the centimeter accuracy? I believe the Gnss Surveyor app is about $12 to activate its full functionality.

The 3rd party NTRIP base data provider is usually a VRS or CORS operators, and it is not just an NTRIP client app. You will need to find out your local VRS/CORS provider(s) and subscribe to their service.

With a VRS/CORS you can just use one S100 to get accurate positioning.

To set up your own NTRIP system (that needs two RTK receivers), you can also use the method mentioned in the blog to find out your base location and set up RTK base, and use the other S100 as RTK rover to do your survey work.

Someone managed to process raw Skytraq data in rtklib rtkconv with L1 and L2 with all the constellations described in the advertisement.
Were you able to extract Rinex 2.11?

I NEED TO PROCESS RAW FILE AND EXTRACT RINEX 2.11 IN L1 AND L2 IN GPS, GLONASS, BEIDOU IS GALILEO.

Do note that there is a time zone difference between Brazil and Taiwan. It’s not possible to expect getting technical support reply emails during your day time, while it’s after office hours, or midnight, in vendor’s location.

Simply log data in RTCM format. Use RTKCONV to convert to RINEX 2.11; check all GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, Beidou in RTKCONV if wishing to use all 4 constellation. The process should be well documented in S100 User Guide section 7 on Raw Measurement Recording and Post Processing.

Do you ever intend on implementing iOS functionality (and an app) for iphone and ipad? or is the the bluetooth type used incompatible with ios devices?

No plan for iOS. The hardware is incompatible.
